Welcome to Noyo Pelagics
Noyo Pelagics has the goal of getting birders, marine mammal enthusiasts, and the general public out to enjoy the ocean off the Mendocino Coast, become educated about our marine ecosystems, and experience new birds, whales, and other marine vertebrates as well as some invertebrates, jellies, and other mysterious creatures. All trips will include experienced birders, ornithologists, and marine mammal scientists who are pleased to share their knowledge with participants.
2026 Calendar
We offer full-day, deepwater pelagic birding and marine mammal viewing to the Noyo Canyon and beyond, half-day trips to the deepwater mouth of the Noyo Canyon, and quarter-day trips to collect marine water samples and perform other marine research. Some of our half-day trips will be dedicated to Humpback Whale research and, conditions allowing, we hope to deploy an underwater submarine (ROV) to view a Sperm Whale carcass on one or more of our quarter-day trips.
